In partnership with a world-class medical center, Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse is fully staffed by dedicated, compassionate hospice professionals who are specialists in all aspects of end-of-life care. Our inpatient hospice team collaborates with a patient’s physician to determine a plan of care that focuses on relieving pain and illness-related symptoms, while ensuring a patient has access to family and friends. Our care teams include:
- Hospice medical director
- Palliative-certified nurses
- Certified nursing aides
- Licensed clinical social workers
- Masters-prepared chaplain or clergy person familiar with the patient or family
- Masters-prepared adult and children’s bereavement coordinators
- Specially trained hospice volunteers
