Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia and Thrombosis Program at the Hospital of the University of Philadelphia

Within the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, the Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia and Thombosis Program (PCHP) provides evaluation and treatment for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. Comprehensive care, using a multi-disciplinary team approach, is provided for patients with inherited bleeding disorders and their families.

Comprehensive care for hemophilia has been proven to decrease the risk of serious complications and death and provide costeffective care for patients with hemophilia. Because of this success, this model is being used for care of patients with other bleeding disorders, such as Von Willebrand disease, and inherited blood clotting disorders.

PCHP works closely with the hemophilia program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) providing comprehensive care for patients and families throughout their lifetime.
