Integrated Approach to Cardiovascular Surgery
Penn Heart & Vascular comprises more than 300 cardiologists and cardiac and endovascular surgeons at eight affiliated medical centers. They are united by similar clinical and research interests and an integrated approach to cardiovascular disease management. This approach results in methods and procedures that encourage vital collaborations within and between institutions and the community of referring physicians.
In 2009, Penn Medicine had more cardiovascular surgery discharges* than any other medical center in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
