HHS Transplant Center Bronze Award
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Transplant Center Awards have awarded the Penn Transplant Institute's Heart Transplant program a Bronze Level Award. Transplant programs were evaluated based on post-transplant survival rates, transplant rates and mortality rates after patients are placed on waiting lists. Penn is the only transplant center in the region and one of a select group of programs in the nation to receive this distinction.
