You can keep insulin at room temperature for 30 days. If you want
to keep it fresh longer, you can store it in the refrigerator. The inside
door of the refrigerator is preferred because the insulin will be easier
to warm up before you inject it. Always have one extra bottle in the
refrigerator as a backup. Insulin that has been outside the refrigerator
more than 30 days or that has become cloudy or changed color should be
discarded. |
