Woman with allergies

Complete Care

At Penn Allergy and Immunology, we offer you more options for improving your health and your life.

Penn Medicine's Allergy and Immunology Program is a leader in the diagnosis and management of both common and complex allergic and immunologic disorders.

At Penn Medicine, you will receive expert care from allergy immunologists who are committed to helping you find relief from the discomfort and frustration often caused by these problems.

Types of Allergy and Immunology Conditions We Evaluate

Sometimes the body's immune system over-reacts when it encounters substances that should be harmless (such as food, pollen, bee sting or medication). Other times, the immune system is not strong enough to protect the body from harmful infections. Penn's allergy and immunology experts are trained to treat the conditions resulting from an immune system that is misbehaving.

These include allergies (allergic conditions include environmental intolerances such as allergic rhinitis, food allergies, bee sting allergies and drug and medication allergies), asthma, chronic hives, recurrent swelling, mast cell disorders and immune deficiencies.

We understand that not every condition is straightforward and that some are harder to diagnose and treat. This knowledge, and our expertise with a diverse range of allergic and immunologic concerns, makes us a preferred referral site for many physicians in the region.

A Multidisciplinary Approach to Allergy and Immunology Care

In cases where your diagnosis affects multiple aspects of your health, we collaborate with our Penn Medicine colleagues in other specialty areas. Your care will be closely coordinated with the following programs:

This multidisciplinary approach ensures you receive the care you require, leading to overall better outcomes for your condition.
