Paying for Fertility Treatments

For couples trying to get pregnant, dealing with fertility problems can be extremely challenging. Currently not all insurance plans cover fertility care. Some plans may offer partial payment, others none.

The cost of fertility care runs a broad spectrum from the moderate end with evaluation, counseling or drug therapy at one end to surgical options such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) at the other end. For some couples the cost rises because they need multiple cycles of IVF or other treatment method to achieve a pregnancy.

Penn Fertility Care offers comprehensive, state-of-the art infertility treatment at competitive fees. We have full-time financial counselors available to provide financial guidance on payment for services at any stage during the treatment process.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

At the initial consultation, in addition to meeting with clinical staff, each of our IVF patients meets with a financial counselor to discuss proposed treatment services and associated costs. Although IVF cycles require a core set of services, treatment plans vary based on a patient’s individual situation. Penn Fertility Care financial counselors are available to assist each patient and couple with their particular treatment process and payment plan.

We accept most insurance plans and assist our patients in obtaining the proper authorization and required referrals for treatments. Since insurance plans vary in coverage, our financial counselors can assist you with your insurance questions and provide an understanding of your coverage. We accept cash, personal checks and money orders, as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

  • Three-cycle Plus™: Up to 6 IVF cycles – 3 fresh and 3 frozen embryo transfer
  • Refund Guarantee: Available for couples looking for the security of having money back if they do not deliver a baby following treatment
  • Cash or Credit Options: Cash/Checks and all major types of credit cards are accepted; patients can take advantage of any fertility treatment package with these forms of payment.
  • Financing Options: Several financial options are offered to help couples overcome any financial barriers and assist in proceeding with care. These affordable payment plans can be utilized for any package of services and can also include pharmaceuticals.
