Know Your Risk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer

The University of Pennsylvania's Cancer Risk Evaluation Program is designed specifically for women who want to know their risk for breast and ovarian cancer. The program can do this by reviewing your family history, reproductive history, age, and lifestyle.

A major focus of the program is using research to develop improved ways of measuring, preventing and managing genetic risks. Genetic testing is available to women who have a strong personal or family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer. If you are found to be at high risk, a physician will discuss ways to reduce your risk as well as indicate early detection trials for which you may be eligible. The Cancer Risk Evaluation Program is offered at the Abramson Cancer Center, Joan Karnell Cancer Center, and Penn Medicine at Radnor.
