The Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania is committed to helping each cancer survivor find ways to enjoy life to the fullest. Living Well After Cancer™ is a nationally recognized program that focuses on the issues that survivors face. Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center is designated as a Survivorship Center of Excellence by the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Abramson is one of eight comprehensive cancer centers in the country chosen to lead the effort in clinical care and research with cancer survivors of all ages.

Penn Medicine’ OncoLink is powering a new program called the LIVESTRONG Care Plan. The program develops a lifestyle plan for cancer survivors who have gone through cancer treatments including: surgery, radiation and medication. Experts agree that, after treatment, patients should develop a plan of care that outlines their risk for late effects - side effects of cancer treatment that arise after treatment is complete.

Penn Bariatric Surgery Program Expands to New Jersey

Patients in New Jersey who are considering bariatric surgery can soon see a Penn bariatric surgeon in Egg Harbor Township. Noel N. Williams, MD, director of bariatric surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, will soon be seeing patients at the new Penn Medicine at Egg Harbor Township office, located at 3205 Fire Road.
