Penn Center for Voice and Swallowing

About the Center

Most people take their voice — a vital part of everyday life — for granted. Having a voice or swallowing disorder can greatly limit the ability to eat, drink or communicate comfortably. Sometimes a mild voice or vocal cord disorder can be a sign of a more significant health problem. The Penn Center for Voice and Swallowing in Philadelphia, PA, is dedicated to evaluating, diagnosing and treating a wide range of voice and swallowing disorders affecting anyone from the professional vocalist to the general public.

The Center's team of nationally-recognized specialists provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options including state-of-the-art medical, surgical and behavioral care for the voice and swallowing systems.

Center specialists employ a multidisciplinary approach to provide an individualized treatment plan for every patient. Patients benefit from the convenience of visiting the team of otolaryngologists, speech language pathologists, and specially trained nurses all within the same day. The Center's goal is to provide the patient with the best treatment options available to preserve the highest level of voice or swallowing function.
