General OtolaryngologyGeneral Otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania dates back to the inception of the Otolaryngology department, and encompasses almost any complaint seen by the specialty. Penn Medicine physicians have a broad expertise in the field of otolaryngology, and have specific areas of interest that overlap with many of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery's other divisions. As such, otolaryngology physicians are able to see patients with multiple ENT complaints, and patients referred by their primary physicians or other specialists, including other otolaryngologists. Penn otolaryngologists work quite often in conjunction with allergists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, and neurologists in managing disorders in the head and neck. Physicians within the Department of Otolaryngology each have a particular area of interest and expertise, but the group's breadth of practice offers the management and treatment of the following disorders, among others:

LocationsPhysicians in the Department of Otolaryngology are available to see patients at all of the department's practice sites, including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, and at the department's satellite facility at Penn Medicine at Radnor.
