Ear and Balance Disorders

Otorhinolaryngologists at Penn treat problems of the outer, middle and inner ear. These problems may result in symptoms such as vertigo, nausea, tinnitus or ringing in the ears. Our service provides a full range of diagnostic testing to pinpoint disorders using state-of-the-art MRI and CT scans.

Our ENT specialists also perform microsurgery of the ear to restore hearing loss due to accidents or trauma, otosclerosis, a hereditary disorder causing excessive bone growth in the middle and inner ear or chronic otitis media, a long-standing infection of the middle ear.
