Making an Appointment
If you would like to make an appointment at the Center for Human
Appearance, you can either:
Patient confidentiality is key at the Center. All staff members have
received training to protect privacy and are able to answer questions regarding related issues.
For information about insurance coverage, please visit the UPHS patient insurance site or read below about coverage for certain types of procedures:
Reconstructive
Surgery
When surgery is reconstructive – to improve
appearance or function after an accident, cancer
surgery or for a congenital (at birth) deformity,
check with your insurance company to verify coverage
of the surgery.
Elective Cosmetic
Surgery
To our knowledge, no insurance carriers reimburse
physicians for cosmetic surgery. We cannot request
reimbursement from your insurance company, nor
can we help you get reimbursement.
Should you decide to proceed with cosmetic surgery,
the office visit fee will be applied to your
surgical fee.
In some instances, part of your treatment may
be medically necessary. In this case, your insurance
company will determine which portions of the
surgery your plan covers. Before you schedule
surgery, be sure to talk directly with your insurance
company representative so you know how much you
are responsible for paying, and how much your
insurance will contribute.
Consultation
With our Psychologists
Check with your insurance company to verify
coverage for consultation with our psychologists.
