Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)
With a focus on women's health at the obstetrics and gynecology practices, our midwives care for adolescent to post-menopausal women. Collaborating with the physicians, the midwife handles triaging, interviewing and counseling women on a variety of medical issues including nursing needs, health risks, medication and immunizations as well as the diagnosis of medical conditions.
Certified midwives must be licensed as a RN and nurse-midwife in Pennsylvania while also holding a master's degree in nursing with nurse-midwifery certification. Membership in the American College of Nurse-Midwives is also required.
