Nursing Careers at the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania
The Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) are an integral part of Penn Medicine. With a faculty practice plan and multispecialty satellite facilities providing over two million outpatient visits per year, CPUP nurses ensure continuity across the care continuum as they partner with physicians who are repeatedly recognized in Philadelphia magazine's "Top Docs" issue.
The exceptionally skilled nursing staff of CPUP is key to the outstanding reputation of the services Penn Medicine offers. Ambulatory care is provided in approximately 150 practice locations throughout Philadelphia and its suburbs, as well as southern New Jersey.
Women's health, infertility, internal medicine, surgery, heart and vascular services, neuroscience, psychiatry, family practice, dermatology and rehabilitation are just a few of the 50 specialties and subspecialties in which nurses can continue their nursing career.
The relationships with local schools of nursing contribute to an environment that is dynamic and rewarding. Clinical experiences for students are enhanced by excellent mentoring by the CPUP nursing staff. Each year, CPUP nurses receive recognition for clinical judgment and decision making, nurse-patient/family relationship, clinical leadership and clinical scholarship.
Over 1,500 nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians and other care providers make up the excellent health care team of CPUP. Nurses at CPUP are part of a long and proud tradition of excellent ambulatory nursing care, with outstanding advantages that include prepaid tuition assistance that is among the best in the region, career-long learning, excellent benefits, and a chance to grow and advance. This is where nurses can truly work among friends with a common goal… delivering the best in patient care.
