Rising
Trend toward Complex, High-Risk Procedures
The cardiovascular surgeries performed
at Penn Medicine in 2007 reflected
a rising
trend toward complex, high-risk procedures,
and are thus representative of the
surgical expertise and the increasing
presence of technical innovation
at Penn.
