Developmental Disability Services for Children and Adults

Children

Recognizing that the needs and problems of each child and his or her family are unique, the Hall-Mercer staff works to help people identify their needs and access appropriate support systems. All services are designed to enable individuals and families to play a major role in formulating and implementing service plans.

Case management services form the basis of Hall-Mercer’s approach to helping children with developmental disabilities. Its clinical expertise sets the stage for one of the most effective case management programs in the city. There are several levels of case management services, all of which provide individualized care.

Adults

Case management services along with programs that stimulate the development of meaningful relationships and provide opportunities for workplace positions form the basis of Hall-Mercer’s approach to helping individuals with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives in the community.

A day training program helps adults with developmental disabilities become more independent in the home, the community and the workplace. In addition to pre-vocational training, individuals participate in daily living, conversational, relationship and problem-solving development.
